  • Is it too late to do anything if your kids are already in their teens? Ours are and they have some bad habits that are going to hurt them. I just know it. Neither could finish a book if their lives depended on it.

    • Tony, as someone who was basically anti-raised, I have to tell you the odds are very slim. I had horrible habits in my teens that my parents couldn’t do anything about even on the rare occasions that they would try. It took adulthood, being poor and having kids of my own to break my laziness.

      If you try, you can’t come at it from a disciplinarian angle. The only thing that might work is showing genuine concern without trying to dictate anything.
