The Wolf of Wall Street Real Life Story
Jordan Belfort was interviewed by the Australian 60 Minutes today. Thanks to Playbook grad Vincent from Brisbane for the heads up on this. The movie was fun enouigh to watch twice thanks to Leo, Jonah, and Martin.
If you're a fan of Leo DiCaprio and Jonah Hill like I am, you'll get a laugh out of this clip from SNL with the two actors.
I sure did.
Since we're on the topic of Wolf of Wall Street, I'd thought I'd make another recommendation.
Let me ask you a question first. Do you enjoy horror or science fiction stories where an alien creature attaches itself to the victim and refuses to let go? Yeah, me too! Then you'll love this book.
The Wolf of Wall Street Opens on the 25th
The movie of the year opens on Christmas Day. It's another pairing of Hollywood heavyweights Martin Scorsese and Leo DiCaprio with the actor playing the notorious real life figure Jordan Belfort who ran a boiler room operation in the 1990s selling penny stocks to the unsuspecting before going to prison. The movie Boiler Room was about a low level salesman who worked for Belfort's firm Stratton Oakmont. According to people who have already seen it the 3 hours fly by.
Martin Scorsese and Leo DiCaprio teamed up for a third time to bring Wall Street hustler Jordan Belfort's biography to the big screen. If you are fan of films such as Wall Street (the first one) and Boiler Room, you will be interested in this one as well. Belfort built and ran a boiler room operation in the '90s before being busted and sent to prison where he served 22 months. From what I understand Boiler Room was inspired by his shenanigans.
Here's the trailer. It comes out this November.
