The Profit’s Marcus Lemonis explains how he makes his money by acquiring and fixing up troubled businesses.

Marcus drills down into the details here. Listen carefully as he uses shorthand.

By the way, he’s a true rags-to-riches story having started life in an orphanage in Lebanon. He moved to the USA at age 12.

This is what this site is all about.

  • Are you saying that your tycoon course can make me into a Marcus Lemonis? Clear this up for me?

    • Devon,

if you think ANY course or person will “make you into” something, I highly advise you not to buy it. You’re going to be disappointed.

The course is a Playbook a compilation of plays that build on top of one another. IF the material is applied, there is a great chance that you can create a massive amount of wealth for all parties involved(you, your teams, investors, etc…).

First thing, get the right mindset and get real. You’ll have to asses you skills and abilities and resources. Be honest, start where you are and look yourself in the mirror and take a good look at your skills, drive, motivation and stamina.

I will admit, this course is best used by those that currently own a cash flow business. I currently do not have one but I am setting up a private placement fund to use to help me acquire my first company. That’s when I’ll be able to apply all of the strategies and HOPEFULLY retain Peter for strategy and consulting sessions.

To start, I don’t need to buy Microsoft, just a small $5-$7million in annual sales company. In the grand scheme of things, that is a very doable purchase to make.

Just some food for thought to help you reframe your questions and thinking.

Good luck and don’t set yourself up for failure.

  • To have a shot at becoming another Marcus Lemonis you need to have a core competency that can be applied to many businesses. Marcus mentions his without really defining it it. It’s usually a way of reducing costs or boosting revenues, or ideally both. You then also need to apply the strategy and tactics from the Playbook to acquire businesses that you can apply your core competence to.

  • DEAR MR. LEMONIS; I WOULD BE HONORED IF I COULD MEET YOU AND SHOW YOU MY PROTO TYPES, OR WRITE TO YOU AND SEND PICTURES. I DO NOT HAVE A PATTEN BECAUSE AT THE MOMENT I CAN NOT AFFORD IT. MY INVENTION COVERS SEVERAL DIFFERENT NEEDS. I READ MOST OF THE WEB SITES ABOUT YOU AND I KNOW YOU ARE A GOOD AND HONEST MAN. I WOULD BE HAPPY TO WORK WITH YOU ON WHAT EVER TERMS AND REQUIREMENTS YOU SUGGEST. I HAVE PUT 3 YEARS INTO MY INVENTION AND WOULD LIKE TO GO FURTHER BUT BETWEEN FINANCES, TAKING CARE OF MY MOM (SHES 91) AND THE PAST 3 YEARS IT’S BEEN A 24-7 JOB, I AM AT A STANDSTILL. I WAS A BOOKKEEPER FOR 23 YEARS, PAYABLES, REC., COLLECTIONS ETC.. I REALLY MISS WORKING. ANYWAY MY HOME PHONE IS 305-451-4197, IF YOU ARE EVER IN MIAMI IT WOULD BE AN HONOR TO MEET YOU AND SHOW YOU MY INVENTION. I PROMISE YOU WILL NOT BE DISSAPOINTED. ME PERHAPS IF YOU DON’T LIKE IT , BUT EVERYONE WHO HAS SEEN IT WANTS ONE. I WAS MUCH MORE AGRESSIVE IN MY 20’S. I WILL BE 59 MAY 17TH, BUT I STILL HAVE DRIVE, AND A VISION. THANK YOU; SHERRY SEARS 305-451-4197, KEY LARGO, FL.33037–IF IT’S NOT TO MUCH TROUBLE WOULD YOU LEASE HAVE SOMEONE CALL ME AND SAY YES OR NO. I WILL RESPECT IT EITHER WAY. THANK YOU, ONCE AGAIN.
